Melbourne Black "Guess the Pub" — Terms & Conditions

  1. This competition ("Guess the Pub") is run by Hop Nation Brewing Co. (ABN 59 600 044 326) of 6/107-109 Whitehall Street, Footscray VIC 3011. 
  2. Entrants must be 18 years or older.
  3. Entrants must be residents of Victoria, Australia
  4. Employees of Hop Nation, and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
  5. To enter, participants must be following @hopnationbeer on Instagram, watch the "Guess the Pub" reel, comment their guesses for all three featured venues and tag a friend on the nominated Instagram post during the promotional period.
  6. Entrants may comment more than once, but only their first correct guess of all three featured venues will be counted as a valid entry into the draw.
  7. Comments on other posts or direct messages will not be counted as valid entries. You must comment on the reel for your chance to win.
  8. The promotional period runs from Friday, August 7th, 5:00pm AEST. Entries close Monday, August 10th, 2026 at 10:00am AEST.
  9. One (1) winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entries who correctly guess all three venues. The draw will take place on Monday, August 10th, 2026 at 10:30am AEST.
  10. The winner will be notified via Instagram direct message using the account used to comment their entry.
  11. The winner must respond within 3 days of notification, or a new winner may be selected.
  12. The prize is a $300 bar tab, redeemable at one of the venues featured in the "Guess the Pub" reel, as selected by the winner.
  13. The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
  14. The bar tab's expiry date and any other applicable conditions will be confirmed with the winner's chosen venue at the time of redemption. The nominated venue reserves the right to set or adjust its own redemption terms.
  15. Participating venues serve alcohol under their own liquor licence and may refuse service to any person who is intoxicated or cannot provide valid proof of age. Please enjoy the prize responsibly.
  16. By entering, participants consent to Hop Nation Brewing Co. using their name and Instagram handle for promotional purposes related to this competition.
  17. Hop Nation Brewing Co. reserves the right to disqualify any entry it deems fraudulent, incomplete, or in breach of these terms.
  18. Hop Nation Brewing Co's decision on all matters relating to the Competition is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  19. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be lawfully excluded.
  20. Subject to that, the Hop Nation Brewing Co. is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the Competition or use of the prize.
